Wants of the Week #5

1. Fringe jacket - ASOS Curve £55
This jacket would be great for festivals. The tassels, colours and patterns give it a hippy vibe that would be great with a black dress and bright wellies and easy to pack. I'm not sure about the price, but ASOS do amazing sales so it would be worth waiting for.

2. Erase Paste - Benefit £19.50
I love this concealer, it's the only one that doesn't dry out my skin. It really does cover up all of my blemishes and spots. I even don't mind paying the price for the small pot because it lasts so long.

3. Black Fedora - ASOS £25
Love this hat. I think it'd be great for the festival as well. I burn on my face really badly so the wider brim would be great for coverage. ASOS also have one for £16, in the sale, at the moment too..

4. Glossy Box £10 per month plus P&P
I was signed up to this before Christmas, but as I cut back on lots of things, this was top of the list unfortunately to go, as well as downgrading my phone contract. But I do miss it, and there is at least one or two things in each box, that cost more than the tenner, and I do use the items. When I start having disposable income again, besides saving so much a month, this is the next think I will sign up to again.

5. Wall Mounted Record Player - Amazon £83.19 (Don't think there could be a more random price)
I love this wall mounted record player. A friend got me into records for Christmas, and gave me some, since I've been picking up cheap ones in record stores, and pouring through my parents. This would look cute mounted on the wall next to my bed.

6. Leather skirt - Forever 21 £25
I've seen this on ebay for twenty five pound and can't find it on the Forever 21 website, so if anyone knows the correct price that'd be really helpful. Anyway this mini is really sexy, and completes my love for all things leather/pleather.

Hope you've had a good week :)

How Many Girls You Kissed.

Hello again!

I wore this dress a couple of weeks ago for a 50th Birthday Party. I've only just got round to posting it as I wasn't sure if I still liked it or not, but turns out I do. The invitation said glam, so I went old school with big curls, red lipstick and shoulder pads. It was a lovely night and everyone looked very sparkly, even got my mum to get her legs out (which she only does for special occasions).

I bought this dress two years ago from a vintage shop in Liverpool. I haven't really had a glam outing really to wear it before. My favourite thing about this dress are the satin shoulder pads which I've tried to show you in the last photo. I think that's what makes this dress stand out over a normal LBD. It is pleated and has a lot of movement. I feel a bit like Florence Welch when I have the red lipstick and sheer dresses on!

To accessorize I stuck with black and red: red lips and red shoes. The shoes are quite simple but they still always catch peoples eye. They have a platform at the front too so they are much easier to walk in than other heels I have.
This clutch is the best thing I have ever found at Primark. I wanted an oversized envelope clutch and this one won me over. Gold and black, which are my favourite colours for a night out, it is so chic. And, with it being big, it fits everything in it. Even small bottles of alcohol, when I'm feeling too stingy to pay hotel prices! I know I'm terrible not helping the economy, but it was £3 per glass of coke (not even a pint). I'm really showing how stingy and cheap I am now. I wasn't the only one doing it, I met two of my mums friends in the loo's doing exactly the same thing. We then high fived and never spoke of the occasion again.

How would you interpret a 'glamorous' invitation?

All That Glitters.

Hello again!

I just really put this outfit together so I could show off the new boots I blogged about two weeks ago! I know, I know its terrible but I'm single and when running errands I always try to look my best, I never know who is going to be at the Post Office. Maybe Ryan Gosling, or Micheal Fassbender... mmmm... Okay I digress, but a girl can dream right?

As I've posted before I love button down shirts. This is the prettiest one I own. It is sequined all the way down the buttons. And looks great with a pleather skirt and heels for a night out. Because it's white it does go with everything. Here I threw on this black lace top over the top to make it a bit more casual but my black H&M one would have done too.

The boots! I'm so surprised at how much they don't hurt my feet. Granted they're not the easiest to walk or drive in but they stood the test of time. I have quite weak ankles after spraining them at numerous festivals (falling over in the mud, over tent wires) but I reckon if your ankles were made of stronger stuff you'd be able to walk in them much, much better than I can.
I didn't wear a necklace as I thought it would be too much with the bountiful sequins on display. But I did wear a silver long ring that was a present and my other little rings. Luckily the sequins are both silver and gold so I can mix the metal of the jewelry up.

What do you think about gold and silver jewelry together, yay or nay?

I have a lot of posts queued but I'm trying to spread them out a bit so I don't bombard you all at once with my outfits. So expect lots more clothes!

Recent Buys#3

It's no Glasto, but I am going to V Festival this year. Hopefully it will fill the void, as Glastonbury isn't on this year. Last year I went, and I doubt any festival will compare, I'll probably be sat saying 'That's not how Glastonbury does it...' throwing my toys out of the pram.

Nah, I'm kidding I am so excited I'm going, can't wait to see The Stone Roses, Ed Sheeran, Friendly Fires, Noah & The Whale, many moreee and mostly Tom Jones. I'm going to throw a pair of not so little knickers at him on stage.

This is the only thing I've bought this week as it was super expensive. It's probably the only holiday I'll have this summer, and it's really got me thinking about summer outfits. I'm thinking light weight fabrics, long dresses, oversized t shirts worn as dresses, see below!
I'm still sticking to dull tones and neutrals, nothing too bright. But, especially for a festival, I want to keep the rock vibe.

Anyway hope everyone had a lovely week, and is looking forward to summer

Wants of the Week #4

With summer on the way I've been thinking of injecting more colour into my wardrobe. And why not jump in feet first with colour blocking, I say!?

1. Orange Dress - Dorothy Perkins £27
Burnt orange is a lovely colour, and I have a shirt from DP in the same colour. This would be lovely for summer evenings.

2. Green Pencil Skirt - Dorothy Perkins £19.50
I also love the petrol blue version of this, which I think I'd wear more, the blue version is in the sale. And as you know I'm a sucker for sale items.

3. Gold Collar - Dorothy Perkins £16
Okay, okay, I have an unhealthy obsession with Dorothy Perkins. But they do have clothes and accessories that are so easy to wear! This collar will go with everything, I have tried it on, but I can't justify 16 pound for it, even if it will go with everything.

4&5. Cambridge Satchels - Cambridge Satchel Company £74 (on the site)
These are lovely bags, and the company is championed by some big stylish celebs, such as Alexa Chung. I think these bags would be a great way to bring colour into my wardrobe. Red is my favourite colour, but I can't help but love this mustard/yellow one too.

6. Purple Boots - ASOS £45
I love ankle boots with  heel, and these are great for summer. I'm not sure what I'd wear the purple colour with, maybe some bright jeans, like my next want?

7. Yellow Jeans - ASDA £10
At a tenner, what a steal!? I heard coloured jeans could only be worn by petite people. But I want them! So I don't care.

Do You Ever Wonder?

Hello again!

So, I showed you the fur stole I bought. I actually paired it with an outfit! I wore this when I popped out for dinner and drinks with some family for a birthday. Since it's getting warmer, this jacket was all I needed and popped on the stole over the top.

I love the oranges and blues of this blouse, I love wearing black so this is quite safe for me to wear. The blouse is quite sheer so I wore a vest and high waisted skirt underneath. It is quite long but not long enough for nothing underneath. The skirt is from ASOS and its a pencil skirt that I have pulled up, meaning I can wear it longer or shorter. It goes with everything and is very comfy too.

This pleather bomber jacket is bit different from my other leather jacket. Although, not too different, I really need a colourful jacket but have no idea what style or material to choose. I saw a tan pleather jacket on DP's website in the sale, but am I investing too much in leather and pleather type jackets!? Oh god. Blogger problems.
Anyway, to add to the 1920's feel of the stole, I wore this art deco necklace and a matching ring. Both costume jewelry but I think they compliment the outfit. The chunky metal ring is discolouring a little bit, but I suppose that's Primark for ya! I really like the stole too. Its alot more versatile than I originally thought, and I have a black evening dress that I think would look lovely paired with it, and burgundy heels.

And bad new on the job front, I didn't get it! Which is a shame because the people were so lovely, and so was the company, and the creative sector is an industry I really want to work in. But, swings and roundabouts I suppose.

Warmth in Your Eyes.

Afternoon!

It's been getting warmer here in the north of England, but I couldn't resist showing you this jumper before it gets too warm to wear it. Its been great for nipping out and about, and not needing a jacket. As well as being comfy enough to wear indoors.

I paired it simply with these skinny jeans. Mid-wash denim is my favourite as they look a bit more worn than dark coloured jeans. Realistically I don't think they're as flattering as these photos make them look, as they re a bit long, but with heels like in this picture my legs look longer. These wedges are really comfy surprisingly. I featured them along time ago when I originally got them but never thought about wearing them with jeans. I think they spice up this otherwise teetering on boring outfit.

I also want to introduce you to our dog Marley, I mentioned ages ago that our first dog, Sebastian, who we had for twelve years died in January 11'. We left it until October to get a new one, and whilst he'll never replace Seb coe, he's been an amazing bundle of energy. My Mum and Dad surprised me and my brother with him one day, and whilst we're now 19 & 21 the excitement of having a 6 month old Border Collie puppy has just been great to have. We all love having him in the house again.

I wore a green ring a couple of posts ago. This is actually the necklace from topshop that goes with it, I popped it on half way through taking photos so my apologies for the lack of continuity! I also wore my rings that I never take off!  The star one has caused me so many injuries because of its sharp edges. But I love it so much.

Anyway, moving away from all the emotion, this is a scheduled post as at this exact moment in time (2.40pm UK time) I am having an interview. So send me your good luck and hope (and many prayers) that I get it.
