How Many Girls You Kissed.

Hello again!

I wore this dress a couple of weeks ago for a 50th Birthday Party. I've only just got round to posting it as I wasn't sure if I still liked it or not, but turns out I do. The invitation said glam, so I went old school with big curls, red lipstick and shoulder pads. It was a lovely night and everyone looked very sparkly, even got my mum to get her legs out (which she only does for special occasions).

I bought this dress two years ago from a vintage shop in Liverpool. I haven't really had a glam outing really to wear it before. My favourite thing about this dress are the satin shoulder pads which I've tried to show you in the last photo. I think that's what makes this dress stand out over a normal LBD. It is pleated and has a lot of movement. I feel a bit like Florence Welch when I have the red lipstick and sheer dresses on!

To accessorize I stuck with black and red: red lips and red shoes. The shoes are quite simple but they still always catch peoples eye. They have a platform at the front too so they are much easier to walk in than other heels I have.
This clutch is the best thing I have ever found at Primark. I wanted an oversized envelope clutch and this one won me over. Gold and black, which are my favourite colours for a night out, it is so chic. And, with it being big, it fits everything in it. Even small bottles of alcohol, when I'm feeling too stingy to pay hotel prices! I know I'm terrible not helping the economy, but it was £3 per glass of coke (not even a pint). I'm really showing how stingy and cheap I am now. I wasn't the only one doing it, I met two of my mums friends in the loo's doing exactly the same thing. We then high fived and never spoke of the occasion again.

How would you interpret a 'glamorous' invitation?
